Yesterday I finally got a chance to wear probably the thing that means the most to me in my wardrobe. My shirt belonged to my grandmother, who wore it to Niagara Falls for her honeymoon. I received a couple other blouses last Christmas also, which I adore, but this one with its peter pan collar, its lovely buttons up the back, the scalloping detail on the front, the flouncy sleeves, and the gorgeous sheer pale pink color...I cannot get enough of this shirt, to me it is perfect.
Yesterday it was so warm that it got me giddy. This would explain me attempting to get a jump shot (see gooney pictures below)
The warm breeze at my back feels so nice. I could have stood here in the sunshine forever.

ReplyDeleteYou look like you're right out of another era! what a sweet blouse! I love the items that I have from my grandmother- most of them are jackets (and some matching skirts) it's a miracle they fit my 5'11' frame, well in truth they fit me as cropped, where they fit her very slender 5'3'' frame as full- anyway it makes me feel closer to my grandmother and imagine the adventures she must have had while wearing the clothing that's fallen into my hands...
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing blouse! I love how you took a vintage blouse and made it look so casual and modern with the skirt and the belt and the flats. ;)
