Hey, let's do the limbo rock
Ethan and I spent Saturday at a place called Purgatory Chasm in Sutton, MA. It is a place that Ethan spent a lot of time as a kid and I can see why! That place is so much fun and there is so much to explore! I'm not going to get all scientific on you, but all these rocks were apparently dumped by some glacier or something.Whatever, it sure is pretty!I hope you all are enjoying your Memorial Weekends!

Water Tower Scandal
Happy Long Weekend everybody! Hopefully you all enjoy your time off and party it up at some BBQ's for me as I will be working all weekend. I do have Monday off so that will be nice.
So on a whim today, I dyed my hair red. The funny thing is though, that it only enhanced what natural color I already had, so it isn't super noticeable, which isn't quite the result I wanted. Oh well, I like it nonetheless. It does makes my eyes look greener!
I was unpacking a box of clothes that I had neglected to bother with during the move and found yet another blouse that belonged to my Grandma Barbara. I guess I had more than I originally thought. I think this brings the tally up to 4 (and yes they are all sheer and yes you still have yet to see one). I love the tuxedo shirt pleating on this one and if I were better at taking photos of details and closeups I would show you the rhinestone detail on the buttons. Pretty sure though that Grandma would not have worn this top with just a bra underneath. Scandalous!

Heat Stroke
No joke, I was literally melting yesterday. I was not even moving, sitting at the computer sweating to death. 92 degrees plus humidity is just plain ridiculous, how some people live with that all the time...Geez. Thank goodness we had crazy thunderstorms last night that cooled us down and today is much more bearable. Going outside to take pictures was not an option yesterday and it is a miracle that I even did put on some clothes as I would have preferred to sit around all day in my underwear with the fan on me. So I decided to stay indoors and fell in love with the shadows that were being created in the kitchen and some bizarrro photo shoot commenced. There, you've been warned.
Let me give you guys a little sneak peek into my at this point fried brain....

"Do what we can, summer will have its flies."
(Title quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Sorry for not being around lately, the computer got a virus and it just got fixed. I'm actually glad it broke at this time because I really needed a break from the internet, albeit not having internet was very frustrating at times since I'm usually on it all the time. I concluded that as of late, I've become obsessed with how many followers I had or if my photo made it on the featured page of Weardrobe. And let me tell you it is literally exhausting. Its like a popularity contest you can never win. There is always someone out there better than you, who takes better photos than you, who is prettier and more stylish than you, and by golly I DON'T CARE ANYMORE!!
This blog started out as a way for me to express myself, when I find myself living in uninspired suburbia. I love more than anything the blogging community and really appreciate all of you who do follow me and leave me such nice comments. Those kind words get me through the day and keep me going. So thank you, the least I can owe you is my real self and stop worrying about being the best.
That being said, Ethan took this picture for me yesterday when we went for a walk around the neighborhood. I had my heart set on taking a photo in front of this old house I had seen a few days ago with an unkempt lawn all overgrown with grass and dandelions. Sadly, they had recently mowed their lawn. Bummer dude. It has been sweltering here in Massachusetts with highs in the 90's and I can't help myself from wearing cutoffs again. They are definitely my go to for this summer.

Lethargic Bliss
I'm not sure what has gotten into me,but I am feeling rather anti-blogging right now. I'm starting to feel uninspired or stuck finding places to take photos. I've always felt that the scenery in my photos has always surpassed the quality of what I am wearing and now that I am having a more difficult time finding places to take photos, I think my clothes are just not enough to carry me along. Whatever, I digress.
Ugh and oh photobucket decided to be a giant D-bag and say I used up all my bandwidth so some of my posts are messed up. Grrr I'm too lazy to even fix it at this point.
I found this little secluded park bench overgrown with buttercups and grass. It seemed all forgotten on the brim of the forest. After my photo shoot was over, I basked in the sun and read my book a little. I've got nothing planned for this weekend as I am working both Saturday and Sunday. I hope you all enjoy your weekends!

Sporty Spice
...Well technically Ginger Spice was my favorite, but I definitely went the athletic route in the way I dressed today. I got this Norma Kamali for Wal-mart sweatshirt dress on the clearance rack for $7 and they had a bunch of other cute things for really cheap too. I really should not have bought it, but it looked so comfortable and perfect for a rainy, lazy day that I could not resist. My main intention of the Wal-mart run was to buy slip resistant shoes for work and may I add, what up with them all looking like geriatric shoes??? I laid down $23 for the ugliest shoes ever. Lame.
Speaking of shoes, I'm wearing my chucks today. I used to wear them all the time with basically everything and decided that they were looking neglected and sad in my closet and I should dust them off for my sporty/athletic look today. I almost wore tube socks too and as I am writing this I regret not doing so.
I took pictures at the baseball fields to showcase my sporty look and it was all drizzly and gray, but that in my opinion makes for the best pictures.

Miss American Pie
I had the most lovely weekend with Ethan filled with strawberry rhubarb pie, picnics in state parks, flea markets, and loads of glorious sunshine. I'm happy that my weekend went well since I start work tomorrow. Say hello to your new Ruby Tuesday's server. No, it is not my dream job, but heck I need some money. I'm actually pretty excited to meet some new people and hopefully make some friends. Living in a town where the only person you know is your Boyfriend is really tough. I'm praying that my new job isn't going to cut too much into my blogging, but if I go off the grid for a little while, you can expect it is because of work.
I want to get an Etsy update in before tomorrow so be looking for that too. This polka dot dress and leather knapsack are going in the shop and I will be sad to see them go as they are so perfectly versatile and go with everything. I had so much fun frolicking in the field with this dress!

Ephemeral Pool
I'm totally feeling like Rosie the riveter/Minnie Mouse right now and I am so okay with that right now. Come to think of it, Minnie Mouse and Rosie the riveter were two of my favorite Halloween costumes. Basically they both kick butt so therefore so does this outfit. I've been seeing headscarves all over the internet lately and knew when I saw this red Vera Scarf, I could not pass it up!
I went for a walk and found this beautiful vernal pool off the trail. It was super buggy, but so worth getting eaten alive.
In other news, I've made a few sales in my Etsy Shop, Rosemud Vintage. Its been a huge learning curve, but it is really fun. Expect an update soon with CLOTHES this time!! Well I must be off to the post office to send some packages!! Later Gators!

Absent Minded Professor
I'm so excited to show off another one of my grandmother's blouses. I inherited a few tops a couple Christmases ago and just love the sheer gorgeousness they all possess. This one has a cute bow tie and embroidery down the front. They just don't seem to make clothing the way they used to. This shirt is so delicate, but has lasted for over 60 years. It just blows my mind.
Another thing that blows my mind are rubber neckers. I'm just in the park minding my own business, taking some photos to share with you all, and I have the grounds crew staring me down! Geez! Take a picture, it will last longer...oh wait that is exactly what I am doing. I got so self conscious that I took my pictures and ran without even overlooking them. And of course I get home to upload them and my blouse is half untucked. What the heck? MYOB people. Seriously.

Outfit Details: Blouse...Gram's, Shorts... DIY, Socks...Target, Shoes...Thrifted, Leather Backpack...Going in my Etsy!
Also if you weren't already aware, I just started my own etsy Rosemud Vintage, be sure to check all the new goodies!

Hi, Hi! Hope you all are well. So I have been absent from the blogging world for a few days now and for a very good reason... I finally got my act together and started my own Etsy Shop Rosemud Vintage. I've been wanting to do it for some time now and have accumulated a massive amount of goodies over the past few months so now it is time to share!!
